Welcome to Ehalumona the City of great Men

Ehalumona is my Town. It is located in the northern part of Enugu State. It is a town with vibrant and hardworking men and women. It is a home of hospitality. It is a common saying that the people of Ehalumona prepare food for the unknown and uninvited guest. What this means is that, Ehalumona people are very kind and generous. They are always ready and eager to share their food and whatever they have with visitors.

Ehalumona, is a great town that has been unfortunately overshadowed by its local government (Nsukka). Ehalumona has wonderful, exciting, and refreshing environment. There are lots of fruits and delicious plants.

In Ehalumona, we have various traditional dances and masquerades ranging from Omaba, Ekpe, Akatakpa etc. Various traditional dance groups include Ode, Ayanya, Alita, Odabara, Akunacheenyi, Ode, Echo, Egwu Ekpe etc. These dance groups are very rich in rhythms that would turn your head and your feet into jelly while listening to them.

Who says, Ehalumona people are not intelligent. They are very intelligent and very enterprising. One thing about Ehalumona people is that they are always contented with whatever they have. They are not greedy people and so do not pursue wealth by all means like some other towns would.

Ehalumona my lovely town has produced and raised many prominent men and women. We have doctors, barristers, priests, sisters, chiefs, engineers, architects, and many more. We are completely complete. In Igbo parlance I would say that "Anyi nwere evu nwe mfu." That is, we have all that one would demand or require.

Should you want a place to call your home when you are away from your own home, think of Ehalumona. The name Ehalumona is synonymous with Peace, Serenity, happiness, progress, and love.

Long live Ehalumona, long live Eha brothers and sisters. Ehalumona is the citadel of all towns.
