Taupo, New Zealand

Hi my town is Taupo, I have lived here now for 29 years and have seen a lot of changes in that time .The natural beauty of the lake and the mountains surrounding it is simply breathtaking. Taupo is so popular in the holidays that the actual population triples.

There is a lot of building going on at the moment and no sooner are the hoses built then they are occupied.Peope here I found are very obliging and friendly they always like to help others out who are less fortunate then they are.Taupo offers trout fishing, horse treks,sightseeing, you name it we've got itLife can be hectic but also very laid back. Where i live now is just out of town with views of the mountains and lake.

Taupo is now famous for the ironman series also they have triatalons, round the lake run it is very sport orientated. to live here is terrific and any one who vists us has a great time. it can be expensive to buy things here, but if you know whwere to shop there is no problem. We now have five nightclubs which is new to Taupo and the young people from everywhere go to them. It can be very cool here in the winter time ,but in summer it is perfect for water skiing, bungy jumping or parachute sailing it's all go and we are not far from Mount Ruapehu for those hardy folks who like to snow board and ski. I love taupo and i am sure others will to if they choose to come here.
