Oakville, Ontario

Although I have not live in the town of Oakville for very long I have learnt a lot about the history of this small town. Many people in Canada tend to assume that this town is for rich people. The reason why people have this misconception is because when Oakville first became a town it was meant only as a cottage town. This would be the one area where people with enough money could buy private cottages away from busy city’s. Because this area was a nice quite area people became attracted to it. The began to fill the area’s along lake Ontario first until they could not build any farther. Then they started building over the farm lands and building the town larger and larger. Oakville has been built as far as it possibly could. Oakville is as good as it gets. I thought when I moved here that everyone would be judging me, because in any new place you will always get judged for how you look or act, but here I felt like I could just fit in and be myself. Now Oakville may not be the richest town, but to me it is rich in the spirit of friendship and companionship. Everyone is very accepting, and we all just want to be friends together. Although like all towns people do get into arguments we all seem to find our way to live in harmony with one another. I love my town and everyone in it! I am proud to live here and will be proud to one day raise a family of my own in this wonderful town that I call home!
