London is in the heart of the Capital and is about half an hours train ride from Heathrow Airport, one of the busiest Airports in the world. I love London, it is full of tourist. You can buy a one day bus pass to jump on and of the underground and the buses. London is full of History. Here is how I normally spend a day out in London.

I get the underground to the Tower monument. Just outside this station is the Tower of London. The Tower is full of History; this is where Henry beheaded his wives. It also houses the crown jewels, which is a must to be seen. Some of the jewels in the crown are linked with Queen Victoria for instance when she ruled India,
Her husband was crowned in India and had the heaviest diamond crown (which he could only wear for half an hour because it gave him a headache) and the famous Koori Nor Diamond is sent in another crown, which belonged to India and belonged to an Indian Maharaja. The Maharaja’s son was bought back to England during Queen Victoria’s time and he was bought up with her royal children. It has large crows that are kept outside the tower and are often seen being fed by the wardens in their lovely red costumes. The crows have been there for over 13 years. They protect the Crown Jewels so they say. You can almost feel that you are back in time as you walk around the tower. The cobbled street take you back in time. I can just imagine how the horse’s hooves sounded on the cobbled streets. Just across the tower you will find the famous McDonald. And the river Thames just lies beside the tower. I normally use my bus ticket for a discount for a boat ride to Westminster Abbey On the way, you are shown some famous building like St. Pauls Cathedral.

I have been on the boat during the day and also at night, it's a great experience.
As you get off at Houses of Parliament. You can have a walk around to the other side of the Thames, where you will find The London Aquariums, an art museum and the famous Millennium Wheel. The experience is out of the world. It is a slow half an hour ride and you can see London from miles above. It is just as beautiful at night. Just around the corner is the Waterloo Station which has the Euro Tunnel and by booking you can get to France half an hour. Just imagine in Europe!

Just a short walk you can find yourself at St. James Park and the Buckingham Palace to bow to the Queen if you are lucky. I love to spend the rest of the day at Trafalgar Square and on two previous occasions, we were allowed to have a dip in the fountains. Just across the road is the famous Art Museum with world famous paintings.

You can find plenty of Local Artist at the square for a portrait of yourselves. If you like walking like me, just a short walk from the square is the famous Oxford Street.
With the famous Christmas lights, it’s great walking along this street especially during Christmas season, it is just as busy. A must for travellers is China town, A small town with Chinese population and a contrast of Chinese food shops and Chinese people.

You will find plenty of restaurants, plenty of bus tours. You can also explore a few towns just half an hour ride from London. I personally live in Southall; this is an Asian populated Town. If you had the chance to see Hollywood Dreams, and seen the lovely Indian Costumes. You will see plenty of them in the Asian shops in Southall. It sells plenty of Indian jewellery. We have plenty of Indian Restaurants at reasonable prices. You don’t have to go to India; you can experience India here in the heart of Southall.

London and Southall is situated 20 minutes from Heathrow Airport. I love being a tourist for the day and mingle with the crowds in London where you will find people from all over the World. The Heart of London, pumps like your heart. With net work of trains, like your veins. London is suretly in my blood.
