USA > Oklahoma > Tulsa > Broken Arrow
I hear people sometimes complain about this nice and quiet town of mine and I wonder why. It's too quiet, too slow, too laid back they say. Enough! Enough! My insides scream. Who wants to be so busy with the hullabaloos of life, they can not whisper a hello to their neighbor, too occupied with the hustle and bustle of the crowded cities to notice the pretty little with ice cream in hand standing in the summer’s heat. Who wants to block their ears to the honk honks of impatient drivers who also do not care for the senior crossing the road; that is what you get in the metro towns but not in my small nice town of Broken Arrow. You will be surprised people hardly use their horns in my peaceful and quiet town of Broken Arrow in Oklahoma.
Broken Arrow is very close to popular Tulsa and is located in the Wagoner county, it is actually a suburb of it .The name of the town suggests itself as originating from the Native American lingo, the Creek Indians to be precise but you rarely see tepees or tribal settlements driving through town .It is nevertheless, without doubt a family oriented town. Couples just starting a family or with family are in the best town to raise their children. The people are extremely friendly too.
My town has an international flavor to it. Thanks to the Bible schools and colleges it is known for most especially: Rhema Bible College and Northeastern State University. Broken Arrow has lots and lots of vast undeveloped rural land, so real estate business is a pure gold mine for investors here. Not to go without mention is the ‘Broken Arrow Expressway’ which kind of ‘links you to the world’.
The “busiest” places in my town include the Main street business district where there are lots of antique shops and crafts stores. We have our recreation in form of going to parks and movies, Tulsa's Performing Arts Center and the Gilcrease Museum is only minutes away from my town. Education is in form of nice top standard public schools: Broken Arrow and Union, Medical care is available at our very own Saint Francis Hospital at Broken Arrow and there are loads and loads of churches to maintain spiritual health.
And by the way also: crime rate is a low low.
At the beginning of this essay, did I say my town Broken Arrow is peaceful and quiet? Probably as time goes by it will still remain peaceful but not necessarily this quiet, because my favorite town is getting more commerce in by the hour and lots of people are relocating here which will surely provide a good balance in the long run.
So pack your bags: Welcome to Broken Arrow!
