Hometown Perfection Cincinnati, Ohio, being located in the Midwest, is the epidemic of hometown perfection. This wonderful city is described as, “the transportation, industrial, commercial, and cultural center for a region extending over southern Ohio, northern Kentucky, and southeastern Indiana.” All those living within the boundaries of such a wonderful city appreciate Cincinnati. In the past history of Cincinnati, it was called the “gateway to the west” due to the city overlooking the Ohio River, which served a easy migration route for immigrants to the west. The city, being founded in 1788 was named Cincinnati after the Society of Cincinnati, which was a group of officers who were involved with the American Revolution. The culture of the city is derived from the various immigrants that settled in the city limits such as Germans who still to this day have piece of Cincinnati still painted with strong German heritage. Downtown Cincinnati is filled with renovated business buildings with companies such as Chiquita banana and Proctor and Gamble furnishing their bare walls. There are also tons of sky walkers leading its voyagers to various shopping centers and 5 star restaurants such as the Massionette. In these skyscrapers one can overlook the beautiful fountains decorating the festive street of downtown Cincinnati such as the Tyler Davidson Fountain. Cincinnati is known for its renowned Educational Facilities molding the brilliant minds of the future. If one were to decide to go to a college in Cincinnati they would have various colleges covering never ending limits to what one could learn in such places as, University of Cincinnati which was founded in 1819, Xavier University which was founded in 1831, Hebrew Union College- Jewish Institute of Religion founded in 1875, and much more highly recommended educational institutes dedicating all time to the well being of all students The Museum Center at Cincinnati Union Terminal is a refurbished train station containing three museums in one in downtown Cincinnati. The first museum one encounters while visiting it the Museum of Natural History and Science, which includes replicas of caves and waterfalls from the rainforest. The next museum is The Cincinnati Museum, which leads scholars through the history of Cincinnati from beginning to present. Lastly there is the Cincinnati Art Museum, which includes art culture changing works, which influences the mind and soul. Cincinnati looks upon sports as not only a sport but to serve as entertainment to its citizens. Cincinnati has both a baseball team and a football team. Their baseball team, The Cincinnati Reds which once had the legendary Pete rose on their team. Cincinnati’s football team is the Cincinnati Bengal’s. Cincinnati, not only being a city to me, but also a home, incorporates entertainment, education, and happiness. I have been all around the world but all the paths laid before out before me lead back to my hometown, Cincinnati. The town where one has opportunities such as the respectful colleges it has to lead one into the future, entertainment so no one ever goes bored, and with strong culture anyone can see that ones heart never grows old within the city limits of Cincinnati.
