Grass Valley, Home of the Original Person
My hometown of Grass Valley California is great because it is a historical place where you can go and learn about the gold rush of 1849. You walk down the streets of downtown Grass Valley and you are met with some old favorites and some new favorites such as pasty bakeries and toy stores. There are also a huge variety of people to meet. You could walk for about 10 seconds down the street and have already seen about 5 different races or people really into their cultures, and they aren’t afraid to show it.

One of the best parts of Grass Valley is all the historical enrichment. There are displays of stamp mills, and other important tools used in the gold rush, everywhere along with signs that inform you on what exactly it was used for. There is also the Empire Mine Park where you can take tours and learn all about the gold rush. There are people dressed up, as people from the 1850’s so that it makes the experience as fun as possible. It is definitely lots of fun, even my 7-year-old sister loves it because it adapts to people of all ages. That just gives you one idea about the best city in the world but what about the people that get the chance to live in this wonderful town?

Everyone loves it here. There is a wonderful variety of people here and they all mingle. I have seen a hippy walking down the street with a punk and they were hand-in-hand. You can also find people walking down the street with animals on their head such as parrots or lizards and they aren’t made fun of because that just isn’t how people here are. When these different people need to go somewhere they always have somewhere to go because of one certain reason.

You can also find lots of stores that cater to different peoples interests such as toy stores, herb stores, movie theaters, libraries, and the bookstores. Those are the best places to hang out because there are lots of books for anyone’s interests, form gardening to dream interpreting to children’s books. If you aren’t the book person there are even more places for you because at the assorted centers for the arts there are dances for people under 16 and over 16 so that everyone can come mingle and meet new people. If you don’t like meeting new people than come just to hang out with your friends. These are just a few of some of the best places in Grass Valley.

So if you are ever up in that northern part of California remember that there is historical fun, lots of different people, and plenty of places for anyone to hang out in Grass Valley, Ca, where everyone is welcome.
