I love Pittsburgh. Mccandless Township I prefer. Down town is right near the three rives. The Allegany and Monongahela rivers flow together to for the Ohio River. Our famous steel industry once operated here. The tallest building in downtown Pittsburgh is the US Steel Building. Only one steel mill remains working the others where shut down. The rivers and air used to be badly polluted but we have cleaned up our act.
The weather is not bad if you like cold, moderate, and hot weather. In the summer it’s hot maybe eighty or even ninety. To me that is hot but I don’t know if you think it is. For all you people in Florida complaining when its sixty degrees in December, it can be around twenty degrees here in Pittsburgh. We usually get three or four big snowstorms and many times we just get flurries that don’t stick to the ground. But when the big storms come every body gets out their sleds and snowboards and takes a ride. There are thing to do every season of the year. In the summer I can swim and do outdoor activities. In the winter I can snowboard or play video games until I get kicked of the computer. The only way I can get through spring is to think of summer.

We have four sports teams that aren’t very good. The Steelers our football team is named after our large steel industry that once operated along the three rivers. Our baseball team the Pirates do not ever win. We also have a minor league soccer team called the River Hounds. They are pretty new so I don’t know to much about them. There are also our hockey teams the Penguins. They haven’t done very good lately but in the past few years they nearly won the Stanley cup. We also just got to new stadiums for our Football and baseball teams. The old Stadium called Three Rivers Stadium had to be torn down. With a big boom the whole thing collapsed. It was truly amazing.

I live in the suburban town of Mccandless. It is filled up with housing plans and Malls. It’s a very nice and quite place. It is a pain to go to stores because you can’t walk to them because they are just a little to far and spread out. On almost every bend in the road and around every corner there are houses. There are a few large shopping malls that provide me with food and others items. I also live close to a Brusters ice cream shop. We also have a Krispy Kream doughnut shop. If you aren’t familiar their doughnuts are the best ever.

My city was the home to Andrew Carnegie one of the most important men in the steel industry. We have a Science center, a museum, and a college named after him. The museum is considered to have one of the best collections of dinosaur fossils in the world. I have seen it before and it is amazing. There are many tourist attractions even though I take them for granted.

There is also Kenny wood amusement park which is also know for is great rides like the Steel Phantom and the new Steel Phantoms Revenge which sadly replaced the Steel Phantom was just opened two years ago. Kenny Wood also houses the Thunder Bolt which is know as one of the greatest wooden roller coaster's of all time.

From Kenny Wood the Carnegie Museum I love my city no matter where I am. Well, the only exception is when I’m on vacation. I don’t like thinking about leaving the beach to go home.
