Rochester, New York

Rochester, New York, a great place to live. I've lived here in Rochester for almost all my life. As long as I've been here, I've learned to love and appreciate the ups and downs of Rochester. Rochester is nothing like New York City or Chicago or one of those busy cities. We are one great city, put together by our very own citizens. In my area, there was a vacant lot but now there is a Walmart Super Center, thanks to our city's mayor. Each day my city is improving drastically. Now there are less killings, less accidents, and less fires. People are learning to work together.

There are many drug dealers, gangs, and killers around every corner. Thanks to Community Centers, most of our drug dealers, gang bangers, and killers are becoming athletes, singers, dancers, artists, writes, or even teachers. Thanks to all the teachers, I've become a very bright child, and a member of the MAP program. MAP stand for Major Achievement Program. I am not the only one in MAP. People you know, people around you that look like un-educated fools, may be in the MAP program.

This is not the only good things about Rochester. In some schools like mine, (James Madison High School of Excellence), there are other programs such as the IB program that can help you get into colleges of your choice. Rochester is one great place for people to start out to become a great person in the future. Maybe even a person that may save your life.
