Rowesville, South Carolina

Hi, my name is Megan P, I live in Rowesville, South Carolina. Rowesville is a small, quiet town about 7 miles from Orangeburg (our closest city). The reason I love my town so much is because it's small and quiet, and it's in the country. I can ride 4-wheelers all over the place.

A lot of my friends live around me. My boyfriend lives about 1/2 a mile from me. There are plenty of dirt roads around. Where I live there is hardly any crime. Every now and then, someone will break into someone's house, but usually they don't take anything because the sheriff doesn't have too far to come. This "takes a {big} bite out of crime."

Our neighbors are nice. Whenever they go on vacation, we watch their animals and the same for us. Our town is very small, it has two little convenience stores, but no gas stations. We have a fire department and a fireworks warehouse. Our populations is about 200 poeple. Our nearest gas station is in either Branchville or in Bowman. Our nearest grocery store is in Bowman. Branchville (where I go to school) is bigger than Rowesville. It has three gas stations, a restaurant, a little fast-food restaurant called "The Churn." It also has a funeral home. That is why I love my little town.
