Shenandoah, Iowa

Some people drive through or come and visit our town and some think that we're just a bunch of small town losers, but really were not. I like living here because there can be lots of fun things to do and visit.

Our town is the town that people like to come to on weekends to drive the stripe and try and find something fun to do, and they also come here to go to our new triple theater. People come to Shenandoah to enjoy family and also other things like parades. We have shenfest parade, memorial day parade, and some others. We travel 5 mins to Essex on labor day to watch the labor day parade.

In our town we walk the streets and even ride bikes etc... and we enjoy the new buildings that we have. We have a new butterfly house that some people enjoy seeing all the different butterflies. We are going to be getting an addition added on to our public library. We also have gotten a new theater that people like to go to with friends and family.

During the summer people like to go to our swimming pool. our pool is a out door pool. It has two slides, a tube and a open, we have a deep end with two diving broads then we have our lap lanes and kiddy area.

In Shenandoah you can come to see many kids activities during school and out of school. during school we have boys and girls basketball, track, girls volleyball, cheerleading, boys football, wrestling, and tennis. During the summer we have boys base ball, girls softball, and coed swim team.

Our town is comforting and fun. We have our days of hot, cold, with snow and rain, but we still make it fun a worth while. If you're a person who's looking for a nice plain small town then maybe you should visit Shenandoah and visit our new places and many buildings to look at and shop.
