United States > Oklahoma > Tulsa
When people think of Oklahoma some of the first words that enter their heads are, "Cows, farms, and horses." Having spent a majority of my childhood there I must protest. Tulsa couldn't exactly be compared to the ever-popular South Street or a crowded shopping mall filled with busy people rushing around to their various locations. Rather, it is more like a quaint little bed and breakfast. You can walk out of your front and greet your friendly neighbors who sit outside on their porch contently basking in the glory of nature, am exquisite sunrise, white stars that dance joyously in a midnight blue sky, or whatever. You walk silently on the sidewalk, periodically seeing a car or two, with the wind blowing you peacefully along, to the various stores to buy whatever your little heart desires. You could see a movie, buy the newest version of in style clothing, or eat a delicious Italian meal. While most people think of the words, "Cows, farms, or horses" when the topic of Tulsa, Oklahoma is brought up, I think of the words, "Peace, Beauty, Home." C. B.
