Conditions of Entry

Any individual is eligible to enter from any country throughout the world. *

Entry is free, and is by way of acceptable submission of a story describing what you like about a town. It is preferable that the submission be about your town, however a submission about a town you would one day like to live in, or that you frequently visit would be acceptable. Entries should be from 200 to 2000 words in length.

Submissions may be unacceptable for, but not limited to the following reasons,

• contains sexually explicit language
• promotes hatred
• contains language not acceptable to our standards
• contains embedded hyperlinks
• html has been manipulated to give an unfair advantage
• does not fairly or accurately describe the town
• entry is almost identical to a previous entry
• submission is not in English
• contains blatant advertising or promotion
• plagiarism, or submitting articles previously published elsewhere

All submissions become the property of Welcome to my Town.com and may be displayed, redistributed or sold thereafter in any manner we choose appropriate.

There may be a delay of 24 to 48hrs between submission and posting in order to allow our editorial staff time to review and edit or remove unacceptable submissions before public release.

Winners of all cash prizes will be contacted by email. Prizes will issued by check or money order posted within 30 days of your mailing address being supplied to us.

All unclaimed prizes after 90 days from final advice being issued to the supplied email address given at submission, will be redistributed as random prizes available to anyone who has submitted an acceptable entry to Welcome To My Town.

By submitting an entry to Welcome to my Town you are indicating your acceptance of the terms and conditions above and any and all alterations that may be made from time to time.

* Submissions from professional bodies such as Tourism boards, local Chamber of Commerce, etc are allowable and will be accepted on a case by case basis if they give our readers a better understanding of an area. Such submissions should reasonably follow all other guidelines and will NOT be eligible for ANY prizes. Said submissions should not be cut and paste from other literature and be unique to Welcome to my Town.
